1. Hold flat angle of the hanging rail (pre-punched with installation holes) to the extreme edge of the shutter flange-hook of the rail toward shutter veins. Pencil mark
pre-punched hole areas.
Remove hanging rail. Drill 9/64 holes through aluminum flange of shutter to mate up with
pre-punched holes of hanging rail. Install hanging rail with the screws furnished. |

2. After installation of hanging rail, hang insulating cover by mating hook of hanging rail to hook of the cover.
Align flange edge of cover with end of hanging rail. |

3. Swing cover upward to cover fan shutters.
When cover is in place over shutters, outer perimeter of cover should match outer perimeter of shutter flange. |

4. While holding cover in place, pencil mark "half moon" cutouts of cover flange onto shutter mounting flange.
After "half moon" cutouts have been marked, let cover swing down and hang vertically. |

5. Using pencil marks of "half moon" cutouts on shutter flange, drill 9/64 holes through shutter flange in center of "half moon" approximately 1/8" from edge of flange.
HOLES DRILLED ARE TO BE CENTERED BUT OFFSET 1/8" FROM OUTER EDGE OF MARKED AREA. (Note: This is critical in the proper installation of the cover, as it is necessary for the cover to pass over the lock as it is pivoted into place.)
Install lock clips with screws furnished. Tighten screws so that the locks will still pivot easily. |

6. Cover is now ready to swing into place and
lock cover in place.
